Soooo. I've been on this E. Lynn Harris marathon for the past month. I went to the library and picked up his last 3 books he wrote. Too Good To Be True, Basketball Jones, and In My Father's House. Now I know that one of these he didn't get to finish I just can't figure out which one. Let's start with Too Good To Be True;

it's written in 2 voices. Who does that? Not E. Lynn but the voice changes around the 4th chapter and he could have been written it like that for who knows why. But none of his other writings switch voice like this one. Also, the spelling of one of the character's name changes at the end of the book. This guy is only mentioned two three times but towards the end they mention him again and changes the spelling. The original spelling was odd in the first place. And other than the fact that Basil Henderson is in this book and some references to jock chasers, there's nothing gay about this book. Now on to Basketball Jones;

nothing but sad how you love someone of the same sex and because society doesn't accept that behavior you have to hid it. A Good reading for pleasure book but I would not want to read again because I was left feeling sad and lonely. Now whenever I watch a NBA game I'm scanning the bench and guessing which players are gay and which are undercover. Not good.
