My Cleaners

I was driving to Columbia to visit my former tenants when I spotted this sign on the side of the building. Lisa Cleaners. Now I'm not sure if it should have read Lisa's Cleaners or if it's a subliminal message. Hmmm, is someone trying to tell me something? It looks like an abandon building but it's not. Most, if not all of the buildings on 175 look this way. Oh and there are more liquor stores than people. No joke. I counted 4 on one block. But then again the army base is close by so that make sense.

Zaniacs Meet and Greet

Editor Carla Dean, my new road buddy invited me to attend Zane Strebor's PlanetZane.net Meet and Greet at the Carolina Kitchen in Hyattsville. This is the first event hosted by the erotica writer. The event was held in the bar area of the restaurant and it was packed! Standing room only but me and Editor Carla Dean managed to inch our way through the crowd. We met so many people there. I took a picture of Editor Dean with Al Taylor and Johnathan Royal. The second shot is me with Al and Johnathan. Then there's Editor Dean with Zane and Charmaine (Zane's sister) and me with Zane and Charmaine. It was a fun night as we met so many interesting people at this event. After speaking with Zane, she said that she may be having these events twice a month at the same location. Her friend owns the restaurant so why not. I'll be there.

The 1st Annual Baltimore Book Festival

Wow! What an awesome event. I got invited to attend The 1st Annual Baltimore Book Festival Held at the Frederick Douglas Fine Arts Center, Sunday April 11 by my editor, the one and only Editor Carla Dean. The best in town. Well it turns out that she had dinner with Envy Red, author of Touch, the Wednesday before who gave Carla 2 tickets. Well because Carla and I were scheduled to meet up Saturday, she asked if I wanted to go to the fest with her. A duh! Yes! So she picks me up and it was the bomb. I met a bunch of fb friends and some who I didn't know at all.

I had been missing Envy Red and since she's from here, I had to hook up with her. Bought a copy of her novel, took some pictures for posting on fb and chatted up a bit before walking around. They also served light snacks and had face painting for the kids. Cannot wait for next year's event.

Big Truck

I don't know what the heck was on this guy's mind when he put theses huge tires on this ugly old ass truck. Nor do I know what his frame of mind was when he walked inside the doors of Motor Vehicles Administration and concocted these vanity tags, Ih8frd. Dude? Who the hell are you? Spokesman for Yukon or an ex Ford driver? Like we care how you feel. Sit on somebody's couch and tell your shrink that you hate Ford. You really have some serious issues. IDIOT!

Happy B'day Nep

This was the day the family got together to celebrate my Nephew Dennis 30 something. He's the oldest of all my 12 nephews and 6 nieces. Wow! Because we grew up together I wont mention his age. But here we all are stuffed in my sister's 2-bedroom apartment listening to music, dancing (not me) and playing spades. Of course there was much smack talk between Brandon and as he calls the two brother's The Baylor Boys, Dennis and Kris. Somehow he ended up being partners with the younger Baylor Boy. Kacey, their youngest brother paired off with the birthday boy but they lost. I mean bad at one point they were negative. I wished I could have videoed the trash talking, card slamming fun these guys were having. Everyone had fun on the small 'dance floor' as you can see. And then there were those who tried to hide from the wide lens Tablet. NOT!

Channel 7 News

Of all days just why couldnt I have on my Black Angle Publishers t-shirt? I dont know why the channel 7 news team was at the small Largo strip mall but I made it my business to part the Chocolate Drop next to the noisey news truck. And as I walked by I conveniently held up my new Tablet and took this shot in hopes of being seen on the late night news. They cut out that scene. I dont even know why they were even there but the guys in the store were excited about the advertisement their business was getting. Rats! None for Black Angle or any of my books.

New device

Brandon ordered the Galaxy Tablet and it is the bomb. I guess that's his thank-you for me helping him save money for his big move next month. Glad to do it son. I do rverything on this device that I used to do on my laptop. Notice I said used to. Have fired uo the laptop since getting the tab
